Jim Coors & Ann Pollock
Forerunner #2 In this photo, both Jim Coors and Ann Pollock are on Bonna wooden skis that were the first cross country skis either of them purchased. Ann and Jim got together for a ski at Yosemite in 1973 after getting these skis for Christmas – their first prolonged date. They still have the skis and each other. They’ve both finished 30 Birkies (now using slightly different equipment than shown). They have become Endowment Forerunners because the Birkebeiner has clearly sustained them over the years, and they really want to return the favor so that many more can experience the same pleasures they’ve enjoyed for so long.
