50 for 50

An idea conceived by John Garrett in 2020, 50 for 50 is now coming to life! Modeled after the Forerunner program that kicked off the endowment, the 50 for 50 project will consist of 50 donors, willing to pledge $50K in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the American Birkebeiner! The money can be donated as either cash/securities OR, unique to this program, it can be part of a bequest/estate gift that will pass to the endowment upon passing.

And as a true leader does, John and Colleen stepped up to become the first donors in the 50 for 50 program… they are KM 1 on the 50KM trip to Hayward!

The endowment is the backbone of the ABSF’s financial future. Since it’s inception in 2017 it has raised over $1.2M and been able to fund over $100k in projects. THANK you to all how have participated in ensuring the future of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation!
