Forerunner #12:
Pat & Sue Quinn
Pat and Sue Quinn split time year-round between their homes in Eau Claire and Cable Wisconsin. Pat is a retired engineering executive and Sue a retired teacher and homemaker who have three adult Children. After years of downhill skiing at Telemark during the 60’s, Sue suggested we get into cross country skiing. We joined Eau Claire Ski Striders club where we became close friends of Birkie Founders Dave Landgraf and Karl Andresen.
Pat has completed 31 Birkebeiners including 3 top 100 and 9 top 250 overall finishes Pat was the first overall champion of Tony Wise’s American Classic endurance races – a yearlong series consisting of 210 miles biking, 2.5 miles swimming, full marathons of running and roller skiing, and culminating in the American Birkebeiner. Unlike the Birkie, the American Classic Series did not survive Tony Wise’s bankruptcy.
